Highlighting one of the data center projects we’ve delivered⚡
At the Ak-Chin Data Center, K2 Electric completed a full electrical and telecommunications infrastructure package for a 15,000+ SF facility designed to support high-density data operations.
Our scope included building power, lighting, feeders, and electrical distribution, along with infrastructure for HVLS fans and SNMP monitoring systems. Across the 3.25-acre site, we installed underground conduit, a dedicated transformer pad, site lighting, and powered access points, while coordinating closely with Salt River Project on joint trench utilities.
Inside, our team completed a precise MDF build-out with cable tray systems, device rough-ins, and mounting infrastructure to support mission-critical equipment. #K2Electric#ElectricalContractor #NationalDataCenterDay #DataCenter #PerformToBePreferred
Two of our Tucson team members participated in the 2026 IEC Wire Off Tucson, a full day skills exercise held at a Graybar warehouse.
The event for fourth year apprentices tested layout, material selection, tool usage, pipe bending, time management, and wiring under tight time constraints.
K2 Phoenix and Tucson leadership were onsite supporting our apprentices as they demonstrated their skill and commitment to the trade.

Construction workers face one of the highest suicide rates of any industry, nearly four times higher than the general population. This is a reminder that safety goes beyond PPE, procedures, and physical hazards. It also means looking out for one another, checking in, and creating a culture where it is okay to speak up.

Our team recently had a hands-on training focused on cutting and threading OCAL conduit, bringing together team members from Facility Services, prefab, and production.
The training was coordinated by Christopher Hansing II with @borderstates and led by Greg Hewitt from ABB. The team worked through the full process from thread preparation to coating repair and quality checks, strengthening consistency and installation standards across teams.
This training enhances our in-house capabilities, allowing us to better support custom conduit fabrication and continue delivering quality work.

K2 Electric completed electrical work for the 94,569 sq. ft. El Rio Health project.
Under @venn_construction, K2’s scope included making all power safe for demolition within the shell portion of the building, along with new site lighting, a 3000A service entrance section (SES), shell lighting, shell fire alarm, and shell HVAC and mechanical power.
For the tenant improvement led by Barker construction, K2 completed the full electrical scope for the new medical and dental offices, including installation of a backup generator and all new lighting and power throughout the facility.
