Mosaic Quarter – Tucson Division
K2 Electric is supporting the Mosaic Quarter project under Ameresco, focusing exclusively on the solar canopy work for the parking areas. While the main building spans 175,000 sqft and falls under the broader entertainment sector, K2’s scope is entirely solar-focused.
Our work includes installing all current solar canopy infrastructure, as well as underground infrastructure for future phase canopies. We’re providing medium-voltage gear, low-voltage transformers, and distribution for all solar canopies. Additionally, the team is stringing solar panels, routing power to and from inverters, installing conduit, and adding lighting for the canopies—ensuring a complete, operational solar solution for the site.

El Rio Project Update | Tucson Division
K2 Electric is making progress on the El Rio project, partnering with Venn Construction and Barker Contracting to bring this new medical and dental facility to life.
Our Tucson team’s scope under Venn Construction includes making safe all power for demolition on the shell portion of the building, along with support for new site lighting, a 3000-amp SES, shell lighting, fire alarm, and mechanical power.
Under Barker’s tenant improvement scope, we’re preparing to handle all electrical work for the new offices, including a backup generator, lighting, and power throughout the building.

This month, K2 Electric is proud to recognize Ted C. who recently celebrated 10 years with the company.
Ted began his career at K2 on October 28, 2014 as a Material Handler. Over the past decade, his dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to growth have propelled him through several key roles, including Shop Manager and Prefab Manager, where he helped establish K2’s first prefab production line, launched from a small garage area behind headquarters. Recognizing his talent and initiative, leaders Tony Brown and Faron Belone encouraged Ted to form K2’s first wire-pulling team for feeder wire, a project that would eventually inspire the creation of what is now known as the POD Squad (Productivity Operations Division).
As POD Squad Manager for the past five years, Ted has overseen multiple crews responsible for setting gear, pulling feeders, and supporting a wide range of field operations across nearly every K2 project. His leadership and hands-on approach have been instrumental in building the team’s reputation for reliability, efficiency, and results. Ted shared "I`ve gained a wealth of knowledge in ten years, and I give Dean, Nick, and Jared Kredit a huge, heartfelt thank you."
When asked about his time at K2, Ted shared "My favorite thing about working at K2 is the relationships that have been built over the years. I have a personal relationship with the Kredits and Josh Adams, that I cherish. They give opportunities to people like me to turn there lives around and do some good."
Ted’s story exemplifies what we value most at K2: building genuine relationships and advancing our team. We’re proud to celebrate his decade of service and the lasting contributions he continues to make to our team and culture.
