K2 Electric supported the El Rio Health Medical Office Building project, which included both shell construction and a full tenant improvement to support new medical and dental facilities.
During the shell phase, led by Venn Companies, K2 Electric was responsible for making all existing electrical systems safe for demolition, ensuring the site could be safely prepared for construction. K2 installed new site lighting, a new 3000-amp service entrance section (SES), distribution boards, and shell lighting, along with electrical infrastructure to support fire alarm systems, HVAC equipment, and mechanical power. K2 also completed the new electrical infrastructure serving the south parking area and coordinated all required power shutdowns for demolition activities.
For the tenant improvement phase, led by Barker Contracting, K2 Electric completed a full electrical remodel to support the building’s conversion into a medical office building (MOB) with exam rooms and dental suites. K2 installed new lighting systems with Advanced N Lighting controls, provided a backup generator for critical systems, and installed new electrical distribution systems to supply power throughout the facility.
