Matt Kuiper
Vice President of Operations – Special Projects
Matt Kuiper has spent his entire professional career with K2 Electric, advancing from apprentice to service manager of K2’s 20+ employee service department. Matt joined K2 in 2003, after Dean Kredit offered him a job as an electrician.
One of his many passions is to promote the education of the next generation of electricians. He feels school plays a vital part in the development and training needed to be successful in the electrical industry.
After having gone through the IEC apprenticeship program, Matt has spent time volunteering at the local IEC program. Additionally, Matt was awarded the 2016 IEC National Emerging Leader award and was recognized for participating in the Leadership Development Forum’s 2018 case study winning team. Matt has also competed and won the Wire-Off and is Level 11 Thermography certified.
He loves working alongside the many K2 employees who he has known for years, including Jared and the Kredit family who he grew up with. He feels K2 is a place where people come to stay.
Fun Fact: Outside of work, Matt and his wife travel as much as they can. They spend time with their children and find new ways to stay healthy and active.
